Cleveland Public Library
The Cleveland Public Library system, founded in 1869, includes the main downtown library as well as 28 branches scattered throughout the city. Boasting close to ten million items, CPL has one of the largest and most extensive collections in the country, providing informational resources, programs, and services for the personal enrichment, education, and enjoyment of all citizens and for the betterment of the community.
